Eftersom flera av er hört av sig och undrat vilken låt som gick till filmen om musikhjältar som lämnat oss sedan PopGiss 2008, kommer här en länk till Jim Carroll Band”s People Who Died. Finns på albumet Catholic Boy. Handla. Det är en riktigt bra skiva.
Jim hade en tuff uppväxt i New York. Låten handlar om hans polare som det gick sämre för. Läs hans bok The Basketball Diaries eller se filmen (med en ung Leonardo Di Capri i huvudrollen som Jim).
Lite scary var det att Jim Carroll dog under tiden jag klippte filmen…

Jag slog en signal till 20th Century Fox och bad dom slänga ihop en liten trailer inför PopGiss som startar i övermorgon. Vi Gamnackar är inte lika händiga på det där med film som våra föregångare… Instruktionerna löd; Fläska på med specialeffekter och försök få med följande nyckelord:

Oh no. Yoko fyller idag inte mindre än 77 år. Det roligaste klipp jag hittade med henne kretsar naturligtvis mer runt John Lennon… Lyssna speciellt vid 3:40, Always laughing, Dick. En sån klassiker.
Regina Spektor blir idag 30 jämnt. Och eftersom hennes musik faktiskt går att lyssna på, så gör vi väl det.
